The American Association of University Professors of South Carolina (AAUPāSC) invites higher ed workers across South Carolina to come together in solidarity, share critical information, and build strength in numbers. Our Spring 2026 Power Lunch Series will kickoff with a discussion of legislation and policy developments in Columbia that may shape higher education statewide. Join us to explore how collective action can safeguard academic freedom and improve working conditions, and enhance our studentsā learning environments.
We are proud to welcome the following guest speakers:
Courtney Thomas is the Advocacy Director at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of South Carolina.
Delilah Clark is an At-Large Member of the AAUP-SC Executive Council, Co-Chair of AAUP-SC Committee R on the Relationship of Higher Education to Government, and Vice President of the Francis Marion AAUP chapter, where she teaches English and directs the Writing Center.
Colby King is an At-Large Member of the AAUP-SC Executive Council, Co-Chair of AAUP-SC Committee R, and teaches sociology at the University of South Carolina Upstate.
